Why This Matters for Recit Clients

This project demonstrates our ability to navigate complex, regulated environments, orchestrate multi-channel growth strategies, and translate highly technical offerings into clear, compelling narratives that build trust, engagement and long-term value.

Overview

Maelle was employed by Amber Infrastructure Group and has been leading Investor Relations and Marketing initiatives for International Public Partnerships (INPP) in 2025. INPP is a FTSE 250-listed infrastructure investment company with a diversified portfolio of public infrastructure assets across the UK, Europe and internationally, advised by Amber Infrastructure, and as at 31-Dec 2025 had a market capitalisation of £2.2bn and gross asset value of £2.6bn.

At the time, INPP was operating in a complex market environment marked by a persistent discount to net asset value across the listed infrastructure sector, meaning the companies are trading below their intrinsic value, while simultaneously advancing major strategic investments and seeking to expand its retail investor base alongside its institutional core.

At the time, ORIT was needing to expanding investor audience across institutional and retail channels and broaden capital sources particularly in the discount to net asset value environment, meaning the companies are trading below their intrinsic value.

Key Outcomes

  • Strengthened investor engagement across retail channels through targeted digital campaigns and increased participation in online events
    • Developed and executed communication strategy for a major infrastructure transaction (Sizewell C) alongside the UK Government, simplifying complex financial structures into clear investor messaging
    • Expanded multi-channel marketing ecosystem including digital advertising, investor platforms, research partnerships and PR
    • Improved clarity and consistency across investor materials (results, regulatory news services, presentations)
    • Enhanced articulation of core investment pillars including inflation linkage, income visibility and risk-sharing mechanisms
    • Built structured performance tracking across campaigns (engagement, CTR, audience quality)
    • Increased visibility across key retail investor touchpoints and platforms
    • Established a more integrated and scalable communication and marketing approach still in use and evolving

The Challenge

INPP faced a different type of challenge – not a lack of substance, but a complex story in a difficult market environment.

Key challenges included:
• Persistent sector-wide discount to NAV impacting investor sentiment
• Complex portfolio spanning PPP assets, regulated infrastructure and large-scale strategic investments
• Need to educate a broader retail audience on infrastructure as an asset class
• Major transaction (Sizewell C) requiring clear, confident and accessible communication
• Fragmented marketing channels with limited integration and performance tracking
• Strict regulatory and financial promotion constraints limiting messaging flexibility

The challenge was to move from complexity and fragmentation to clarity, confidence and coordinated growth.

Strategic Approach

Maelle implemented a structured, market-aware marketing and investor engagement strategy focused on simplifying complexity, strengthening investor confidence and building an integrated multi-channel communication system.

The approach centred on four key principles:

• Translating complexity into investor clarity
Reframing highly technical concepts (e.g. regulated asset models, PPP structures, large-scale infrastructure investments) into clear, accessible messaging focused on income visibility, inflation linkage, risk-sharing and long-term returns

• Building communication frameworks around key market concerns
Structuring messaging to directly address investor priorities in a discount-to-NAV environment, including valuation confidence, dividend sustainability and portfolio resilience

• Creating an integrated multi-channel engagement ecosystem
Connecting digital campaigns, investor events, research partnerships and PR into a coordinated system, rather than standalone initiatives, to maximise reach and consistency

• Operating effectively within regulatory constraints
Designing communications that are clear, engaging and commercially effective while fully aligned with financial promotion rules and compliance requirements

This approach enabled INPP to move from fragmented and complex communication towards a more cohesive, scalable and confidence-building investor engagement platform, supporting both strategic transactions and ongoing market positioning.
